BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

Though technically a member of the Pack known as the Family, Chris Smith is now a Pack of One.  Three members of his pack, Ahroun Reveals the Madness, Galliard Moves with the Times, and Galliard Creates for Justice, were all suspected of being minions of the Wyrm and of the Black Spiral Dancers.  While the evidence showed Reveals the Madness to be of the Wyrm, there was nothing but speculation for the other two.  All three Packmates disappeared before any further investigations, punishments, or trials could take place, leaving the pack down to two members.   The Alpha, Lays a Motherly hand, and now Beta Chris Smith.

Less than a month later Lays a Motherly hand went missing and was later found to have been attacked and raped by Black Spiral Dancers.  Left mentally and physically broken, she is not capable of being an Alpha, leaving Chris the lone surviving member of the Family.

Chris Smith was one of several garou who battle against a powerful Werewolf Hunter.  He along with Vanity from Luna's New Phase, East Wind from Gaia's WIll, Reads Between the Lines and Nighthawk from the Junk Yard Dogs, and Seeker in Shadows from Thunder's Vanguard attacked the hunter, who was trying to kill the aleady wounded Lays a Motherly Hand.  During the ensuing combat, several explosives containing silver exploded upon all except Seeker in Shadows and Lays a Motherly hand.  All involved in that explosion have recived severe wounds from the encounter.  Silver shards from the explosion destroyed Chris Smith's right eye.  He has also received the Rite of Wounding upon his battle scar.

Since the death of his pack leader Lays a Motherly Hand, Chris has now become a member of the Thunder's Vanguard.  In doing so hthe pack has increased their territory by almost double.
